smart wake trials"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Day 33 (April 9th)<\/strong>:\u00a0 (2012\/04\/09, awake all morning, slight dip at 5pm)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">health<\/span>:\u00a0 Sore throat + sneeze.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">adaptation<\/span>: After about 1 month I&#8217;m surprised by how well I feel only sleeping 4h30 per day.\u00a0 However I&#8217;m not sure if I&#8217;ve fully adapted.\u00a0 I may be oscillating between catching up on sleep (oversleeping), &#8230; and then, slowly, as the week advances loosing\u00a0strength.\u00a0 And after about a week I relapse again into an unhealthy sleep deprivation which makes me oversleep again.\u00a0\u00a0 It may also be a coincidence of germs, lack of exercise, stress or diet.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll have to test this more carefully later in the experiment.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">schedule<\/span>: It was very easy to wake up using the &#8220;<a title=\"smart wake @ zeo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myzeo.com\/sleep\/community\/Zeology-blog\/smartwake-different-way-wake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smart wake<\/a>&#8221; eyes tired&#8221;)\u00a0 I wasn&#8217;t tired &#8220;on time&#8221; at 12:00 or 12:30 so I continued to work until tiredness caught up with me.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;m trying again the <a title=\"smart wake @ zeo\" href=\"http:\/\/six40winks.com\/2012\/04\/10\/5-reasons-for-polyphasic-sleep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smart wake<\/a> which may be working as I&#8217;ve found it a little easier to leave the bed.\u00a0\u00a0 The 7am nap however made for a harder waking up as I snoozed and it led me to some light and deep sleep.\u00a0 The full REM however gave me all the needed energy for the following hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120410_core_hypnogram-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1197 aligncenter\" title=\"20120410_core_hypnogram\" src=\"https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120410_core_hypnogram-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"776\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120410_core_hypnogram-1.jpeg 776w, https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120410_core_hypnogram-1-300x54.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120410_core_hypnogram-1-768x138.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 776px) 100vw, 776px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 35 (April 11th)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>(2012\/04\/11, (4:00, 7))\u00a0 ok all day.\u00a0 The smart wake let me sleep a little longer than usual at night.\u00a0 I also tried to take my naps when I felt I needed them.<\/p>\n<p>The only problem is that the 14h nap was interrupted and for the 19h nap &#8230;
