Sleepy eyes, warm bed and my body asking for mercy did not make it easy. Washing my face and sitting in the living room didn&#8217;t help either. I tried to meditate but I was distracted, yawning and had a light headache. So &#8230; using light, yogurt, cafeine-free tea and cookies &#8230; I managed to get myself to work by <strong>3:30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><time datetime=\"2012-03-11T04:22\">4:22<\/time><\/strong>: I still find myself regularly wanting to fall asleep. I don&#8217;t seem to have enough concentration to program or write.<\/p>\n<p><strong><time datetime=\"2012-03-11T04:22\">5:11<\/time><\/strong>: Fighting sleep. I can&#8217;t wait for my <strong>7am<\/strong> nap. Programming makes me sleepy after just a few minutes. I need to walk around, get busy, do laundry, etc. I guess my body has finally realized I&#8217;m skipping too many hours of sleep. The hard adaptation phase has begun!<\/p>\n<p><strong><time datetime=\"2012-03-11T06:30\">6:30<\/time><\/strong>: Sleep deprived? Very. Unless I&#8217;m standing and active I take winks now and then.<br \/>\n<strong>8:00<\/strong>:\u00a0 The <strong>7am<\/strong> nap was a full REM nap. I was exhausted and entered REM in <strong>2<\/strong> minutes, followed by <strong>26mn<\/strong> of uninterrupted dreaming.\u00a0 Pretty cool. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_361\" style=\"width: 758px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/20120311_full_day-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-361\" class=\"size-full wp-image-361\" title=\"20120311_full_day\" src=\"https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/20120311_full_day-1.png\" alt=\"polyphasic sleeping log, sleep phases\" width=\"748\" height=\"126\" srcset=\"https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/20120311_full_day-1.png 748w, https:\/\/six40winks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/20120311_full_day-1-300x51.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 748px) 100vw, 748px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-361\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Everyman-3nap schedule for March 11th --- tough schedule! --- CLICK TO ENLARGE<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Between 8 and 12 I let myself have a little coffee.\u00a0 1\/2 a tea-spoon of freeze-dried coffee (I know, I know &#8230; you can hardly call that coffee), and milk.\u00a0 Warm, conforting and a kick.<\/p>\n<p>I was tired enough that the coffee didn&#8217;t interfere with my other naps which seem to mimic a typical &#8220;beginning of a night&#8221; stair taking the Awake, REM, Light and Deep steps.<\/p>\n<p>Naps are recharging, but it takes me a good 10 &#8211; 15mn to get out of the drowsiness.\u00a0 Today was no doubt the hardest day.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to continue a few more days of Everyman (with <strong>3h<\/strong> core night sleep) to make sure I survive!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Waking up at 2:00 was a little harder today.
